Comparison Criteria
Unless specified otherwise during FACTON configuration, the "Inventory number" is used as a comparison criterion for parts.
Supported link types
The import supports the assignment of raw materials and overwriting raw material prices for the purchased part.
Import groups
An import group must be entered for parts, as FACTON distinguishes between purchased and standard parts and uses separate import groups for these types.
Special features of imports
When importing parts one or more price rows may be imported into FACTON for each part. Assigning multiple prices to one part is structured in the Excel workbook in much the same way as the master data link import. Here as well, the part row must appear in the Excel workbook multiple times. While all comparison characteristics and other part information remain unchanged, the fields with information on prices, origins and validities contain the respective information for the individual price rows.
Once a part has been found and updated or created, the import begins searching for existing price rows. Prices are searched and identified based on the price key fields. If a price row is found, all corresponding price, quantity and unit data is updated. Otherwise, a new price row with the given validities is created. For empty validity fields the import uses either January 1 or December 31 of the current year.
The "Origins" field comprises the "Origin number" and "Type". The origin number can contain a value or it can remain empty. The "none" text is treated as an empty value. The origin type has different versions (FACTON types), which must be assigned to the values in the Excel document.
For more information, see Assign Object Types.
The "Price" field contains the "Unit" field and the "Value" field. The unit is a combination of currency and price reference unit, e.g. EUR/kg
