Cost Centers

Cost centers define activities for a specified period of time. Each activity consists of an activity type, the costs and their validities.

Cost centers are used for evaluating manufacturing processes, employees and machines. They are managed in Data Administration. You can import cost centers from ERP systems directly or via Excel import.

Create cost centers

  1. Right-click on the category Cost centers ► New ► Cost center.

    A new cost center is created under the selected category/group.

  2. Change the default name in the "Name" entry field.
  3. Enter an ID in the "Cost center ID" entry field.
  4. Switch to the "Special" tab.
  5. Enter the activities of the cost center in the respective table of the "Other Parameters" group.
  6. Click Apply.

    The data are saved in Data Administration.
