Setup process

Description

Preparatory measures and configuration processes on machines and tools which are required before the actual start of production and which are independent of the lot size to be processed. In FACTON, the setup time and the production costs are determined at the setup process.

The setup costs are optimized by reducing the setup time. The newly generated setup time can be allocated directly to the costs and thus to calculation and lot-sizing from MRP. The analysis of the setup process can also be used to reorganize the setup process.

You can find the basic properties of the setup process in the Details view.

Toggle View Schema

  1. Click in the view schema combobox to the top right of a view.

    2. All view schemes for the selected view are shown.

  2. Click on the desired view schema.

    3. This switches the view schema.

    Alternative: Click on one of the icons right next to the combobox to activate the respective view schema.

Note

The »Overview« view schema summarizes all available view schemes for the selected calculation or calculation element in groups. This schema is only available via the combobox.

Valuation

Via the valuation you can define the calculation mode for the setup time.

Hint Click on the plus (+) for further information.

Using this valuation, the costs are caused by embedded sub-elements. The costs of the sub-elements are aggregated in the superordinate calculation element to provide you with an exact cost calculation.

 

Manufacturing Valuation

In this valuation you can choose between entering the setup time or a cost model that was created in the FACTON EPC Cost Model Designer.

In this valuation you can directly enter estimation costs to the calculation elements to detect cost indicators early on and quickly create a rough should cost calculation.

Is External Setup Process

This checkbox lets you define whether the setup process is an external one or not.

Setup Time

Display and enter the setup time of the setup process.

This value is required.

Direct input is possible.

Ʃ Measure Values Setup Time

Shows the total setup measure values of all relevant measures in time per lot.

Note: Only available in the »*Aggregate Costs« valuation.

The property is only visible, if at least one technical measure is inserted under the setup process.

Relevant Setup Time

Display of the setup time relevant for the calculation. Only available in the »*Aggregate Costs« valuation.

The property is only visible, if at least one technical measure is inserted under the setup process.

Differing Batch Size

Display and enter the deviating batch size of the setup process.

Direct input is possible.

Relevant Batch Size

Display of the lot size relevant for the calculation.
