FACTON EPC 12.1 SC

Should Costing

FACTON EPC Should Costing (SC) helps purchasing agents to successfully implement their purchasing strategies:

The detailed purchased part price analysis creates a solid basis for negotiations with suppliers. Moreover, FACTON Benchmark Content content provides your purchase with integrated external Benchmark data. Some of the key benefits of this solution include its rapid deployment and simple operation.

Purchased part price analysis

FACTON EPC SC and the FACTON content allow users to create purchased part price analyses quickly, transparently and, above all, understandably. The cost analysis is based on a calculation that comprises the BoM structure in which additional manufacturing steps, special direct costs and detailed overhead cost structures are mapped. The integrated manufacturing cycle time calculator and FACTON Content make it possible to prepare Benchmark calculations – solid bases for target cost calculations or supplier workshops.

Cost-cutting measures can be defined, stored and evaluated using a maturity level thanks to the comprehensive, integrated action management feature. FACTON EPC SC thus offers a full value analysis process in addition to simple purchased parts evaluation.

Target Costing

FACTON EPC SC makes it possible to fully map target cost methods. Calculated values such as those derived from a Benchmark calculation can be directly transferred as target prices and compared against the currently calculated actual costs. Alternatively, you can define the target prices directly at each costing schema level, for example the sales price, prime cost II, production cost, or even at individual components. This makes it possible to analyze whether developments remain within the target cost range at any given time.

Location simulation

FACTON SC and the FACTON content let users perform location analyses at the touch of a button. An alternative location is selected in an existing calculation. The calculation is recalculated with the corresponding values from the FACTON Benchmark Content and saved as a new variant. The different variants can be compared with each other in an understandable way.

Investment analysis

FACTON EPC SC allows users to quickly perform project investment analyses. Investments in objects at all BoM levels, such as tool costs, machines or special direct costs can be defined and viewed in a differentiated way. Breakdowns and analyses of overall assessments, partial investments and refunds offer a comprehensive overview of projects.
