Process
Description
Processes are standardized manufacturing processes and represent the actual value-added process. In the course of a process run, a new (intermediate) product is created by the evaluated consumption of resources which enter the process. A process run is always characterized by a defined duration. By means of a process type classification, a distinction can be made between:
- Manufacturing process, and
- assembling process.
Examples
- Die casting
- Deep drawing
- Injection molding
Insertion Positions
Unit
Processes have the unit »time per cycle«.

Valuation
Via the valuation you can define the calculation mode for the cycle time.
You can choose between the following valuations:
Further Information ► Cost Models
Further Information ► Valuation
Using this valuation, the costs are caused by embedded sub-elements. The costs of the sub-elements are aggregated in the superordinate calculation element to provide you with an exact cost calculation.
Manufacturing Valuation
For this valuation, you can choose between directly entering the cycle time (»*Enter Cycle Time«), cycle time calculation (»Aggregate Cycle Time«), and a cost model that was created in the FACTON EPC Cost Model Designer.
Further Information for the Should Costing Solution and the Cost Model Designer, see Should Costing Solution - Interface Documentation (Release folder).
Cycle Time
Display and enter the cycle time of the process.
This value is required. |
Direct input is possible. |
Ʃ Measure Values Cycle Time
Shows the total measure value of all relevant measures of the process in cycle per time.
The property is only visible, if at least one technical measure is inserted under the process.
Cycle Time including Ʃ Technical Measures
Shows the total cycle times incl. measure values of the cycle time.
The property is only visible, if at least one technical measure is inserted under the process.
Cycles per Time
Shows all calculated cycles per time unit. The value is bidirectional to the value of »Cycle Time«.
Direct input is possible.
Output per Cycle
Display and enter the output quantity per cycle.
