Used Objects view

The Used Objects view (former: »Local Inventory«) shows all calculation elements that are used in the Structure view. Relevant properties and values of the calculation elements are displayed, which you can check and quickly edit in this view.

The Used Objects view is empty after creating a calculation and is filled only when you insert calculation elements (locally or globally).

The Used Objects view is hidden by default.

Show and Hide Used Objects view

  1. In the ribbon, click on the View tab.
  2. Activate or deactivate the »Used Objects« checkbox in the Show/Hide group to show or hide the Used Objects view.

    Alternative:

    CTRL + 5

Selection of View Schemes

You can also toggle the view schema within the Used Objects view.

Toggle View Schema

  1. Click in the view schema combobox to the top right of a view.
  2. All view schemes for the selected view are shown.

  3. Click on the desired view schema.
  4. This switches the view schema.

    Alternative: Click on one of the icons right next to the combobox to activate the respective view schema.

Each view schema provides a special view of the data of the calculation elements used. You can choose between the following view schemes:

»Label« column

The name of the calculation elements is displayed in the »Label« column.

The calculation element groups are identified by the symbol together with the symbol of the calculation element.

»Valuation« column

The column »Valuation« shows the valuation of the calculation element.

»Instance Label« and »# Instances« columns

The name of the instance is shown in the column »Instance Label«. This instance label initially corresponds to the value of »# Instances« but can be overridden with F12.

The column »# Instances« shows you the number of instances of the calculation element.

»# Usages« column

The column »# Usages« shows the number of positions where the calculation element is used.

The value in the column »# Usages« shows the number of usage positions in the Structure view.

»Abs. Qty.«, »Add. Qty.«, »Tot.-Qty./ Yr.«, »Tot.-Qty« columns

The columns give you an overview of the annual and lifetime quantity requirements. You can use this information in the material requirements planning (MRP) and production capacity planning process.

  • »Abs. Qty.« (Absolute Quantity) column
  • »Add. Qty.« (Additional Quantity Requirement) column
  • »Tot.-Qty. / Yr.« (Total Quantity per Year) column
  • »Tot.-Qty.« (Total Quantity) column

»Auto ID« and »Key« columns

The sequential number of all calculation elements created for the calculation are displayed in the column »Auto ID«.

The semantic key is displayed in the »Key« column. The key is an ID based on the technical meaning.
