Save variants as projects

Editing the bill of materials for the configurations in the variants view does not affect the current project structure in a variant.

You can accept changes of a variant via the "Create Variants" function. This function deletes the BoM for the current variant and generates a new BoM using the information from the variant matrix.

To prevent the current status of a variant from being lost, you can create a separate version of a variant before its bill of materials is deleted.

Generate Projects from Variants

  1. Open the Variants view interface
  2. Click on Variants/Edit ► Create Variants. The Create variants dialog opens.
  3. Activate the checkboxes for those variants you wish to generate the BoM's of.
  4. Confirm your entries with OK. The variants are generated.
