"Greenhouse Gas Emission" View Schema

The Greenhouse Gas Emission view schema in the Details view contains all defined and calculated values relating to emissions generated by the material or machine. In addition to the display at material and machine, emission values are aggregated at higher-level costing objects, such as assembly, part, process, etc., as well as at calculation level.

The editable and calculated properties listed here are available when using the valuation "Calculate Costs/Cost Rate" or "Aggregate Costs/Cost Rate". If the valuation "Enter Costs/Cost Rate" or "Estimate Costs" is used, the range of properties for direct input is smaller.

Different details are available depending on the selected element:

Machine

Scope 1 Emission Factor

Display of the sum of all emission factors for scope 1 in kg/h

Is calculated from:Emission Factor Natural Gas at Machine and, if defined, Emission Factor Miscellaneous 1, 2 and/or 3

Emission Factor Natural Gas at Machine

Display of the product of the emission factor for gas and gas consumption in kg/h

Is calculated from:Emission Factor Natural Gas and Gas Consumption

Emission Factor Natural Gas

Display/Enter the emission factor for gas (in kg/m³)

Is defined in the master data using global value rules. The value depends on the data origin of the machine

Indirect input is possible using F12.

Gas Consumption

Display/Enter the gas consumption of the machine (in m³/h)

Direct input is possible. or the value is assumed from the variable machine costs, if maintained (provided that the option "Consider Natural Gas Costs" is activated)

Display/Enter the name or description for additional, user-specific scope 1 emissions

Emission Factor Electricity

Display/Enter the emission factor for electricity (in kg/kWh)

Is defined in the master data using global value rules. The value depends on the reference location (production location) and reference date of the should cost calculation

Display/Enter the value of the connected load of the machine (in kW)

Is assumed from the machine data and is derived from the cycle time of the superordinate process

Scope 1 Emission

Display of the product of scope 1 emissions in kg/cycle

Material

Scope 3 Emission Factor

Display/Enter the emission factor of the machine in (<quantity type unit>/kg)

Is defined directly at the material using local value rules. The value depends on the reference location (production location) and reference date of the should cost calculation, and for quantity-calculated materials also on the geometric shape of the material (e.g. coil, solid profile, etc.)

Indirect input is possible using F12.

Relevant Quantity

Display of the relevant quantity of the material in kg/pc

Is assumed from the machine data and is derived from the net quantity

Total Emission

Display of the product of scope 3 emissions in kg/pc

Is calculated from:Scope 3 Emission Factor and Relevant Quantity

Assembly/part/process

All emission factors and emission totals of the sub-elements (which are or contain machines and/or materials) are aggregated at each superordinate calculation element, such as process, part or assembly.

This display also applies to groupings, production lines, manufacturing cells, and setup processes.

Scope 1 Emission Factor

Display of the sum of all scope 1 emission factors of the embedded machines

Is calculated from: the values of Scope 1 Emission Factor of all embedded machines

Scope 2 Emission Factor

Display of the sum of all scope 2 emission factors of the embedded machines

Is calculated from: the values of Scope 2 Emission Factor of all embedded machines

Calculation Level
