Key

The »Key« is a unique identifier which is used for

• updating master data via Excel import,
• referencing master data in Excel imports and updates, and
• referencing selection list entries in Excel imports & updates and FACTON content.

The »Key« is available at all master data elements and selection list entries in the Details ► Information.

The uniqueness is not guaranteed by FACTON when inserting new master data elements and selection list entries.

However, the Excel import and update will fail, if there are multiple rows with the same key (duplicate).
