External Object ID

The »External Object ID« is an externally unique identifier which is used for

• updating a calculation via the OData API, and
• updating BoM elements via the OData API.

The »External Object ID« is available at all elements and calculations in the Details ► Information.

The uniqueness is not guaranteed by FACTON as the element is defined in the external system (e.g. PLM system). The OData API will update all occurrences of elements with the same »External Object ID«.
