Data Origin

With the help of the data origin in FACTON, you can distinguish own data from external data, and thus manage company-owned data. With the master data administrator role, you can create global properties and global templates and classify them via the property »Data Origin«.

In FACTON, data origins are divided into the following data pools:

• Data Origin »FACTON«
  • ForFACTON Benchmark Content
• Data Origin »Own Company«
  • For company-own master data
• Data Origin »Supplier«
  • For supplier-specific master data

In a calculation, you can define which data pool to use for the exchange rates, wages, location factors or overhead rates via the »Data Origin« property.

Queries allow you to search and display master data of specific data origins. Via value rules, you can filter the column for data origin content in order to show only a certain type of data origins.
