Update Global Templates

You can update the global templates individually, i. e. you select a calculation element in the Structure view and this selected element and all sub-elements will be updated.

Update Global Templates

  • You are logged in as a Calculator.
  • You are in the Calculations workspace.
  • Global templates are available for updating. You can identify this by the Symbols of Comparable Changes.

  1. Open Calculation

    • Right-click on a calculation ► Open in New Tab.

      The calculation opens in a tab.

    Alternative:  

    • Double-click in the very first empty field of the calculation you wish to open.

      The calculation opens in a tab.

    Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut: CTRL + SHIFT ⇧+ O Closedsee Shortcuts

  2. In the Structure view, select the calculation element you wish to update.

    3. Alternative: In the Structure view, select the calculation to update all elements and sub-elements.

  3. Right-click on the calculation ► Update Element and Sub-Elements.

    Alternative: CTRL + M + R Closedsee Shortcuts

    The master data update is performed and the embedded global templates are updated.
