Insert Secondary Cost Center

The secondary cost center is the FACTON cost center of a company which is not directly related to an operational business purpose. For these secondary cost centers, FACTON determines personnel costs per employee and non-personnel costs per employee via value rules. This determination requires the following information:

  • Industrial Sector (on the calculation level)
  • Reference Location (on the calculation level)
  • Labor Group (on the Secondary Cost Center level)

Insert a Secondary Cost Center for »Manufacturing«

Insert Secondary Cost Center

  1. Select the primary cost center »Manufacturing« in the Structure view.
  2. In the ribbon, click on Edit ► Insert ► Secondary Cost Center to add a secondary cost center to the structure.
  3. Change the label to »Foreman« in either the Structure or in the Details view.
  4. Enter the value »1« for the Number of Employees.
  5. Select the value »Additional training min. 2 years/experienced« for the Labor Group.
  6. Repeat Steps 1 to 5 for the following secondary cost centers:

Insert a Secondary Cost Center for »Material«

  1. Select the primary cost center »Material« in the Structure view.
  2. In the ribbon, click on Edit ► Insert ► Secondary Cost Center to add a secondary cost center to the structure.
  3. Change the label to »Purchaser« in either the Structure or in the Details view.
  4. Enter the value »1« for the Number of Employees.
  5. Select the value »Additional training min. 2 years/experienced« for the Labor Group.
  6. Repeat Steps 1 to 5 for the following secondary cost centers:

    »Employee Storage« 1 Additional training min. 2 years/experienced
    »Quality Assurance« 1.5 Educated employee/experienced

  1. Select the primary cost center »Administration« in the Structure view.
  2. In the ribbon, click on Edit ► Insert ► Secondary Cost Center to add a secondary cost center to the structure.
  3. Change the label to »Management« in either the Structure or in the Details view.
  4. Enter the value »1« for the Number of Employees.
  5. Select the value »Executive employee/inexperienced« for the Labor Group.
  6. Repeat Steps 1 to 5 for the following secondary cost centers:

    »Personnel department« 0.5 Bachelor degree

  3. Change the label to »Advertisement« in either the Structure or in the Details view.
  4. Enter the value »0.5« for the Number of Employees.
  5. Select the value »Additional training min. 2 years/experienced« for the Labor Group.
  6. Repeat Steps 1 to 5 for the following secondary cost centers:

  5. Select the value »Additional training min. 2 years/experienced« for the Labor Group.
  6. Repeat Steps 1 to 5 for the following secondary cost centers:

  3. Change the label to »Employee Commissioning« in either the Structure or in the Details view.
  4. Enter the value »1« for the Number of Employees.
  5. Select the value »Trained employee/experienced« for the Labor Group.
  6. Repeat Steps 1 to 5 for the following secondary cost centers:
