Successors for Calculations

You can define a successor for a calculation. A successor is immediately effective as soon as it has been published and the FACTON client restarted.

Predecessor Calculation

  • The predecessor calculation shows you whether the calculation has a successor (see Show Successor for Calculation)
  • In the predecessor calculation, you can open the successor calculation (see Open Successor)
  • In the predecessor calculation, you can assign the successor calculation (see Assign Successor)
  • In the predecessor calculation, you can remove the successor calculation (see Remove Successor)

Successor Calculation

  • You need the successor calculation to assign the calculation to the successor (see Assign Successor)

Note

Whether your calculation has a successor is shown in the Details ► Information ► Has Successor view of the predecessor calculation.

Show Successor for Calculation

  • You are logged in as Calculator.
  • You are in the Calculations workspace.
  1. Search and open the predecessor calculation in a new tab.Closed

  2. In the Structure view, select the predecessor calculation.

    In the Details ► Information ► Has Successor view, the active checkbox shows you that the calculation has a successor.

  1. Run a query to search for the predecessor calculation.Closed

    Run Query on Calculations

    1. In the Explorer ► Queries, click on button in front of SC calculations.

      You can run queries for the following calculation groups:

    2. Click on a calculation group whose calculation you are looking for.

      A new »Query : <Calculation>« tab opens where you can set query parameters.

    3. Set any query parameters.
    4. Click the Run button to run the query.

      All calculations found for the selected calculation group are displayed in the Result view.

  2. In the Result view, select the predecessor calculation.

    In the Details ► Information ► Has Successor view, the active checkbox shows you that the calculation has a successor.
