"Attributes" dialog

 

Menu

  • "New" menu item

    Click this menu item to create a new user-defined attribute and display it in the table.

  • "Delete" menu item

    Deletes the selected user-defined attribute. This menu item is only available if a user-defined attribute is selected in the table.

  • "Open Link" menu item

    Opens the link, reference or document displayed in the "Value" column. This menu item is only available if the attribute selected in the table is of the type "Link/Reference/Document".

  • "Show Lookup Table" menu item

    The "Content of the lookup table" dialog opens. Use this dialog to display, edit or delete the content of a lookup table.

Other dialog elements

The table displays the attributes for every calculation element highlighted in the project structure tree according to attribute groups. The attribute group names are displayed in bold font. Attributes are divided into three attribute types that are shown in different colors.

Column Description

Name

This column shows the name for each attribute. The names of user-defined attributes can be changed.

Value

This column shows the value of each attribute.

Type

The type for each attribute is displayed in this column. The type of user-defined attributes can be changed.

 

  • Attribute colors

    The different colors tell you whether the attribute:

    • was created user-specifically or as standard attribute in the Attributes.
    • Is a mandatory attribute and its value must be filled in.

    Color Description
    White

    The attribute was created as user-defined. Its content can be edited or deleted.

    Gray

    The attribute was created in the system settings (standard attribute). Only the value can be edited.

    Yellow

    The attribute was created in the system settings as mandatory attribute. A value needs to be entered (depending on the data type and unless already provided by a default value).

    Attributes can be defined in the system settings.
