"Special" tab

Use this tab to define the address for an origin.

The "Special" tab of Locations differs from the other origins. Use this tab to define the address of a location, costs at the location and links to other master data.

"Assignments" group

  • "Basic data" option

You can link multiple basic data entries to the location. Thus, the surcharge rates for the basic data types are localized.

  • "Machines" option

You can link multiple machines to the location. This allows the calculation of the machine costs to take costs for a particular location into account.

  • "Workers" option

You can link multiple workers to the location. After finishing the assignment, you can define location-specific labor cost rates for the workers.

  • "Shift models" option

You can link multiple shift models to the location. Use the links to define location-specific shift model capacities.

"Address" group

  • "Company" input field

Enter a company name for the location.

  • "Contact person" input field

Enter the name of the person responsible at the location.

  • "Street" input field

Enter the street name of the location.

  • "City" input field

Enter the city of the location.

  • "Zip code" input field

Enter the zip code of the location.

  • "Country" combobox

Select the country of the location.

  • "Country group" combobox

Selection of a country group of the locations / suppliers.

Requirements the customs duties are activated (see System Settings - Customs Duties)
  • "Currency" combobox

Select the currency to be used for the unit of the locational cost tariffs, see "Location Parameters" group.

    Note

When changing the currency, the tariff values are not converted into the new currency.

"Location Parameters" group

Here you can define values for location-specific calculation parameters (for consumption types) in order to use them in the project, e.g. for machine hourly rate calculation.

Customize FACTON

Consumption types at the calculation parameters, except for the interest on capital, are configured within the scope of FACTON® Customizing or by an authorized partner.

  • "Interest on capital" input field

Enter the interest rate on capital at the location. You can administer rights here.

The interest rate is used for machine hour rate calculation (imputed interest) and investment calculation.

  • "Location Parameters" table (Level 1)

    Column Description
    Energy Costs

Enter the locational energy cost tariffs with validities

    Footprint costs

Enter the locational footprint cost tariffs with validities

    Gas Costs

Enter the locational gas cost tariffs with validities

    Water Costs

Enter the locational water cost tariffs with validities

  • "Location Parameters" table (Level 2)

    Column Description
    Value

    Enter the cost tariff value.

You can enter multiple tariffs for each calculation parameter with different validities.

    Unit

Displays the unit of the tariff.

The numerator corresponds to the currency defined in the "Address" group; the denominator unit depends on the calculation parameter, e.g. EUR/kWh.

    Valid from

Enter the validity start date of the tariff.

    Valid to

Enter the validity end date of the tariff.

    Created by

Displays the user who created the tariff.

    Created on

Displays the date and time the tariff was created on.

    Changed by

Displays the user who last modified the tariff.

    Changed on

Displays the date and time the tariff was last modified on.

As part of Sustainable Product Costing you can also assign emission types to consumption tariffs to include CO2e emission factors in your consumption and machine cost calculations.

This function is only available with the license "Sustainable Product Costing" (SPC Sustainable Product Costing (SPC)).

Then, the additional columns are available:

Column Description
Initial Value

If several emission types are maintained for the tariffs, the checkbox determines which emission type is to be initially used in the project.

Emission Type

Select the emission type, if maintained*

Note

*If no emission type was maintained for the respective calculation parameter, the columns are inactive.

CO2e Emission Factor

Display the CO2e emission factor maintained at the emission type.

CO2e Unit

Displays the unit of the CO2e emission factor.
