Synchronize Data

You can update master data and dynamic data of your project. Dynamic data are for example properties of purchased part prices, raw materials, cost center tariffs and exchange rates that are maintained validity-bound in Data Administration.

 

Synchronize Data

  1. Open the "Database Synchronization" dialog.

  2. Add the relevant project via drag & drop to the Project Selection group:

    1. Drag the projects from the workspace explorer into the project selection field.
    2. Click on the Search button and draw the projects into the project selection field.
  3. If necessary, only choose specific projects (e.g. multi projects or configuration projects).
  4. Activate the checkboxes of the relevant components in the Select Components list.
  5. Define more features in the Additional Settings, if needed.
  6. Click on the Detect Differences button below.
  7. In the Summary tab, click on Details link of the single components to display the deviations in further detail.
  8. In the Summary view, activate the checkbox in the column Update for those elements you wish to apply the synchronization.
  9. Click Apply.

    10. The data in Data Administration are synchronized with the data in the project.

  10. Click OK.
