Add routing

Routings contain details of manufacturing parts, workers and machines.

Add the following routings to all assemblies and manufacturing parts of project PC Mouse:

Insert Manufacturing Process

  1. In the project structure, open PC Mouse > Lower part > Cover plate.

  2. Right-click on Routing > New > Manufacturing Process.

    The "Manufacturing Process Assignment" dialog opens.

  3. In the project structure tree, open the PC Mouse group.

    The Available Processes combobox contains all existing manufacturing processes from the Data Administration.

  4. Select the "Injection molding" manufacturing process.

  5. Click on Insert.

    The "Injection molding" manufacturing process is added to the project.

  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to add the process "Deburring".

  7. Click OK.

    The dialog closes.

 

Add workers

  1. In the project structure, open PC Mouse > Lower part > Cover plate > Routing.

  2. Under the manufacturing part "Cover plate", right-click on the process Injection molding > New > Worker.

    The "Worker Assignment" dialog opens.

  3. Select the group PC Mouse in the structure tree.

    In the selection list Available Workers, all existing workers from the Data Administration are shown.

  4. Select the worker "Sample injection molder".

  5. Click on Insert. The worker "Sample injection molder" is added to the project.

  6. Click OK.

    The dialog closes.

  7. Repeat steps 1 to 6 to add the worker "Sample unskilled worker" to the process "Deburring".

 

Insert Machines

  1. In the project structure, open PC Mouse > Lower part > Cover plate > Routing.

  2. Under the manufacturing part "Cover plate", right-click on the process Injection molding > New > Machine.

    The "Machine Assignment" dialog opens.

  3. Select the group PC Mouse in the structure tree.

    In the Available Machines combobox, all existing machines from the Data Administration are shown.

  4. Select the machine "Sample injection molding machine".

  5. Click on Insert.

    The machine "Sample injection molding machine" is added to the project.

  6. Click OK.

    The dialog closes.

  7. Repeat steps 1 to 6 to add the machine "Sample grinding machine" to the process "Deburring".

  8. Repeat all steps of the chapter "Add Routings" to add manufacturing processes, workers and machines from the table Routings for all other calculation elements.

    The following chapter offers helpful hints on how to save time when entering data.
