Functions
Functions are used to evaluate the effect of a product. Components that exist in the product are assigned functions. They enable you to determine costs of each function.
Functions are displayed in the project structure tree for each calculation element, as shown here:

Assign a Function
When you assign a function from Data Administration to a calculation element, it becomes a function incorporated into the project. It will then be displayed in the structure view of project functions.
Functions can also be created directly in the project.
Assigning a function to a costing element determines the share of the costing element in the effect of the function of the product.

of a calculation element in the project structure.
The "Function Costs" dialog opens.
- Select one of the options in the "Available Functions" group to choose whether the calculation element should be assigned a function from Data Administration or from the project.
