This dialog is used to administer the rights of users and user groups for system functions in FACTON.

Note

Administrator rights cannot be restricted.

  • Structure tree view shows the system functions in FACTON:

    Shows a structured view of the system functions in FACTON.

  • Table of users and user groups and their rights:

    For each system function highlighted in the tree view of system functions in FACTON, the table lists the users and user groups that have special access rights to this system function. When a right for a user or user group is shown in gray font, it is indicated that it was inherited. It cannot be changed.

    • "Group/User" column: If a right applies to a user or user group, their names are displayed here. The user "<everybody>" indicates all users in FACTON. It can be used to set the basic rights to a system function for all users.

    • "Rights" column: Displays the right of a user or user group to the relevant system function.

  • Add button:

    Opens the Add Rights dialog to add rights.

  • Remove button:

    Removes the rights of the selected user or group.

  • Conditions button:

    This button is only available for "Project"-specific objects. Click the button to open the Define Conditions dialog. You can enter your conditions for rights here. The assigned right does not take effect until the predefined conditions have been met.

  • Show Effective Right button:

    The "Effective Right for User/Group for Production Planning" dialog opens. This dialog shows the rights for the selected function of each user and group.

  • "Rights" combobox:

    Select the right for the user or user group highlighted in the table.

  • "Reset rights of all subobjects" checkbox:

    This checkbox becomes available when a system function with subordinate system functions is selected in the tree view. When the checkbox is activated, clicking the OK button will remove all rights of the subordinate system functions. The rights are then inherited.
