Value analysis

FACTON provides users with an effective value analysis tool for calculated and defined component alternatives based on VDI (Association of German Engineers) Guideline VDI 2800. Value analyses are carried out using criteria and weightings that are defined and preset in Data Administration. You can import criteria via Excel import.

Create criterion for value analysis

  1. Right-click on the category/group Value analysis ► New ► Criterion.

    A new criterion is created under the selected category/group.

  2. Change the default name of the new criterion in the "Name" entry field.
  3. Enter an ID in the "Criteria key" entry field.
  4. Enter a value in the "Weighting" entry field.
  5. Click Apply.

    The data are saved in Data Administration.
