Functions

Functions refer to the various tasks a product must perform, or can perform. Function trees assigned to assemblies in the project are administered here for the function costs analysis. The individual function costs can be determined in the project via the assignment.

Create functions

  1. Right-click on the category Functions ► New ► Function.

    A new function is added under the selected category/group.

  2. Change the default name of the new function in the "Name" entry field.
  3. Enter an ID in the "Function number" entry field.
  4. Select a function class in the "Class" combobox.
  5. Select a function type in the "Type" combobox.
  6. Enter an importance value in the "Importance" entry field.
