Consistency Rule Violation

Consistency rules enable you to check the validity/accuracy of values in the calculation and show you the severity of the rule violations. This allows you to monitor the quality of the data in the calculation.

When loading a calculation or inputting values FACTON automatically checks all values for Consistency rule violations.

The various Consistency rules are represented by the following icons:

Symbol Type Description
Error

Displayed when functional errors occur.

The calculation returns incorrect or misleading values.

Warning

Displayed when required information needs to be entered or values are out of an assumed range.

Nevertheless, the calculation still delivers mathematically correct values.

Note Displayed when additional information is to be entered.
Note

Error, Warning and Note are different only in their severity. The values entered incorrectly will not be saved. FACTON continues to calculate with the incorrect values.

IMPORTANT

In the calculation, all mandatory fields are also marked with the symbol. You must enter values for these fields so that FACTON can calculate the calculation.
