Material 
Description
A material is a concrete resource involved in the supply chain, which becomes an integral part of the new (intermediate) product with altered properties.
Materials are for example
- Raw materials, basic materials and supplies
- Semi-finished parts
- Standard parts (or norm parts)
- Purchased parts
