Specify Processes

In this section addition calculation elements required to calculate the costs will be inserted into and specified within the inserted processes for the »Motor Shaft«.

Sequence

Specify »Setup Process - Turning«

  1. In the Structure view, select »Setup Process - Turning«.
  2. Insert the Machine with the label »6-spindle bar automatic | Rotaion speed: 530.00 - 3,325.00 1/min | Turning diameter: < 42.00 mm« (Auto ID: 727) from the master data.Closed

    Insert Global Calculation Element

    • You are in the Calculations workspace.
    • You have opened a calculation.
    • You are in the Structure view.
    1. In the Structure view, select the calculation element under which you would like to insert the calculation element from the master data. (Insert position)
    2. In the ribbon, click on Edit ► Insert ► <Calculation element from master data>.

      You can insert the following calculation elements as global calculation element:

      • Commercial Measures
      • Fixtures
      • Machines
      • SC Materials
      • SC Special Direct Costs
      • Technical Measures
      • Tools
      • Work Steps

      A tab with a respective query for the global calculation element is opens.

      If you have defined query parameters (such as material classification) in an super-element, this value is used as the query parameter.

    3. Click the Run button.

      All results found are displayed in the Result view.

    4. Select a calculation element from the results set.
    5. Click in the first empty field in front of the calculation element and drag & drop it into the insert position.

      The global calculation element is inserted.

    6. Alternative:  

      1. Right-click on your selection ► Copy.
      2. In your calculation go to the position where you want the element to be inserted.
      3. Right-click on your selection Paste Special ► Paste As Link.

        The global calculation element is inserted.

  3. In the Structure view, select »Setup Process - Turning«.
  4. In the Ribbon, click on Edit ► Insert ► Setup Operator to insert a setup operator.
  5. In the Details view, assign the following properties to the setup operator:
    General
    Number of Workers2
    Labor GroupEducated employee/experienced
    Tie Up Rate at Process50%

Tip

For multiple use of a previously inserted global project element (e.g. the same machine since the investment costs should only be introduced to the calculation once) you can insert these as follows:

Reuse Global Project Elements Multiple Times

  • You are in the Calculations workspace.
  • You have opened a calculation.
  • You are in the Structure view.
  1. In the Structure view, select the global calculation element you wish to reuse.
  2. Click in the first empty field in front of the project element and drag & drop it
    1. while holding the Alt key to insert the global calculation element again as Link.

  2. Note

    In the Local Inventory view, you can verify whether you have used the same machine for »Setup Process - Turning« and »Process - Turning«. The following two points indicate this:

    You have two usage counts for the machine »6-spindle bar automatic | Rotaion speed: 530.00 - 3,325.00 1/min | Turning diameter: < 42.00 mm«.

    When two where-used positions are displayed to you by right-clicking ► Go to Where-Used Position.

  3. In the Structure view, select »Process - Turning«.
  4. In the Ribbon, click on Edit ► Insert ► Insert New Local Fixture to insert a local fixture.
  5. In the Details view, assign the following properties to the fixture:

    Overwrite Input Boxes

    1. In the Details view, click in an input box with a gray triangle that you want to overwrite.
    2. In the Ribbon, click on Start ► Override ► Toggle Override

      The icon appears in the input box. You can now overwrite the input box.

    Alternative: Step 2-3:

    1. Use the F12 key on your keyboard to activate the overwrite function.

      The icon appears in the input box. You can now overwrite the input box.

  4. In the Structure view, select »Washing«.
  5. In the Ribbon, click on Edit ► Insert ► Worker to insert a worker.
  6. In the Details view, assign the following properties to the worker:

Save and Publish Changes

Save changes

  • In the Quick Access Toolbar, click on Save all data.

    All changes are saved and the icon is greyed-out.

Alternative:

  • In the ribbon, click on File ► Save All.

    All changes are saved.

Publish changes

  • In the ribbon, click on File ► Publish All.

    All existing changes are published.
