Arrange Tab
You can arrange tabs in different ways to use the workspace efficiently:
A tab can have the following positions:
Tab Position | Description |
---|---|
Close | The tab closes. |
Close All But This | All tabs except the current tab close. |
Floating | The tab is placed in a floating position. |
Dockable | The tab is in the default position. |
Tabbed Document | The tab is displayed as a tab. (default position) |
Hide | The tab is hidden from the workspace. |
New Horizontal Tab Group | The tab is arranged in the workspace as a new horizontal tab group. |
New Vertical Tab Group | The tab is arranged in the workspace as a new vertical tab group. |

- You are in the Calculations workspace or in the Master Data workspace.

Right-click on a tab.
The context menu opens.

Click on one of the following menu options:
- Floating
- Dockable
- Hide
- New Horizontal Tab Group
- New Vertical Tab Group
Open Element in New Tab
Open in New Tab
- You are in the Result view or in the Structure view.

Right-click on the element you want to open.

Click on > Open in New Tab.
The element opens in a new tab.
Alternative:

Double-click in the very first empty field on the element you want to open.

Use the keyboard shortcut CTRL + SHIFT ⇧ + O.
The element opens in a new tab.
