Search and Open Global Template
You are able to search global templates in three ways using queries:
- Master Data workspace in Explorer > Master Data > [Master Data]
- Calculations workspace in Explorer > Master Data > [Master Data]
- Calculations workspace, directly in the calculation via Edit > Insert > [Calculation element]
Search Global Template
- You are logged in as SC Master Data Administrator.
- You are in the Master Data workspace.
Run Query on Master Data

In the Explorer > Queries, click on ► in front of SC Master Data.
You can run queries for the following master data:

Company Own Content
- Company Own Machines
- Company Own Machines Grouped by Machine Type
- Company Own Materials
- Company Own Materials Grouped by Material Classification
- Commercial Measures
- Fixtures
- Manufacturing Cells
- Special Direct Costs
- Technical Measures
- Tools
- Work Steps

FACTON Benchmark Content
- FACTON Benchmark Machines
- FACTON Benchmark Machines grouped by machine type
- FACTON Benchmark Materials
- FACTON Benchmark Content Materials grouped by Material Classification

Click on master data whose global template you are looking for.
A new "Query : <Master Data>" tab opens where you can set query parameters.
- Define your query parameters.

Click the
Run button to run the query.All elements found for the selected master data are displayed in the Result view.
Open Global Templates

Select the global template you wish to open from the result list.

Right-click on the global template > Open in New Tab.
Alternative: Double-click in the very first empty field of the global template you wish to open.
The global template opens in a tab.
