Scrap Cost
The scrap costs result from:
- Material Scrap Cost
- Manufacturing Scrap Cost
Display of Scrap Cost
- The aggregated scrap costs (ScrapC) of the
should cost calculation are displayed in the Details view > Cost Summary
view schema or in the Key Figures view > Production Cost - Detailed
view schema.
- Further details and the breakdown of material scrap cost (Mat ScrapC) are displayed in the Material view schema in the Structure view.
- Further details and the breakdown of manufacturing scrap cost (Man ScrapC) are displayed in the Manufacturing - Cost View view schema in the Structure view.
Enter Scrap Rates
In the Details view > Assumptions view schema > Overhead and Scrap Rates FACTON offers you two options for entering the scrap rates.
-
Global
-
Select this if you want to globally enter a general scrap rate for material and manufacturing. This rate will be inherited by all inserted assemblies/parts and materials.
-
For materials, you can overwrite the global material scrap rate with the F12 key.
-
-
Sequential
-
Select this if you want to consider the cumulative scrap for materials and manufacturing in your calculation.
-
You can enter the scrap rates directly for assemblies or materials. This directly applies to the material costs or directly to the manufacturing costs.
-
The entered scrap rate applies to all inserted/child calculation elements of assemblies and parts.
-
The "Material Scrap Rate Effective" / "Manufacturing Scrap Rate Effective" shows the costing relevant scrap rate. It is calculated as follows: 1-((1-scrap rate on the calculation element)*(1-scrap rate effective of the parent calculation element)).
