Insert Part

In the following, you will learn how to build calculation structure for »Motor Shaft«. The calculation valuation must be set to aggregation. A part (piece) is then inserted as local calculation element. The estimation costs are entered for this part.

  1. Select the Aggregation valuation in the Details ► Assumptions of the calculation.

    You can insert calculation elements to build a calculation structure.

  2. Insert a Part (piece) into the calculation structure.ClosedInsert Local Calculation Element
  3. Define the following properties in the Details view:
  4. Label Motor Shaft
    Material Classification: Basic Material » Metals Steel » Alloyed Steel / Construction Steel / Chemical Resistant Steel
    Manufacturing Method Separating » Chipping with Geometrically Determined Cutting Edge » Turning
  5. In the Details ► Calculation, select the Estimation valuation.

    You can enter cost values directly in the cost summary.

  6. Select the Cost Summary group in the Details view.
  7. Expand all groups by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + E. see Expand and Collapse Structure and List
  8. Enter the following estimation costs in the Details view:
    Cost Summary
    Raw Material0.20 EUR / pc
    Machine Cost0.70 EUR / pc
    Labor Cost2.40 EUR / pc
    Allocation of Investment Cost for Tools0.10 EUR / pc
    Allocation of Investment Cost for Fixtures0.10 EUR / pc
    Miscellaneous Special Direct Manufacturing Cost0.90 EUR / pc
  9. The production costs are calculated based on the entered estimation costs.
