Update Selection Lists

You can update the selection lists that are used in your calculation. For example, to update data changes to selection lists.

The update of the data is via the Should Cost Calculation (top / root element in the calculation structure) available.

Update Selection Lists

  • You are logged in as Calculator.
  • You are in the Calculations workspace.
  • Data changes are available in the selection lists to be updated. You can identify this by the Symbols of Comparable Changes.
  1. ClosedRun a query to find the calculation whose selection lists you wish to update.

    Run Query on Calculations

    1. In the Explorer ► Queries, click on button in front of SC calculations.

      You can run queries for the following calculation groups:

      • All Overhead Rate Calculations - CSW
      • All Overhead Rate Calculations - Versions
      • All Should Cost Calculations - CSW
      • All Should Cost Calculations - Versions
      • All Should Cost Calculations - Versions - Exportable
    2. Click on a calculation group whose calculation you are looking for.

      A new »Query : <Calculation>« tab opens where you can set query parameters.

    3. Set any query parameters.
    4. Click the Run button to run the query.

      All calculations found for the selected calculation group are displayed in the Result view.

  2. ClosedOpen the calculation whose selection lists you wish to update.

    Open Calculation

    • Right-click on a calculation ► Open in New Tab.

      The calculation opens in a tab.

    Alternative:

    • Double-click in the very first empty field of the calculation you wish to open.

      The calculation opens in a tab.

    Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut: CTRL + SHIFT + OClosed See Shortcuts

  3. Right-click on a calculation ► Update Selection Lists.

    The selection lists used in your calculation will be updated with the selection lists in the master data.
