Introduction

The FACTON Cost Model Designer (CMD) provides a graphical user interface. It enables model experts to create cost models that can be applied in calculation projects later on. The FACTON CMD manages a list of cost models, each consisting of their business logic, associated structural objects (resources), and additional data such as selection lists or property localizations.

Model experts create a cost model project with a unique cost model header for a target resource. When a cost estimator is using the cost model, defined resources, properties, selection lists and corresponding localizations will appear in a calculation for that target resource including the cost model header.

Using the FACTON CMD, you are able to

  • create
  • edit and
  • test cost models.
