Assume Target Costs

The "Apply From Cost Values" function transfers current costs to the target (cost target) of the respective calculation object. Depending on where the cursor is positioned in the costing tree, the following information are transferred:

  • costs to the project target
  • production costs to the assembly and part targets
  • material costs to the materials target
  • manufacturing costs to the processes target
  • additional costs to the additional costs target

The function is carried out for the selected calculation object and all subordinate objects in the project structure tree.

WARNING

If the target for a part is set (fixed), it cannot be overwritten using this function.

  1. Select a calculation object in the project structure.

  2. In the ribbon, click on Start > Target Costs ("Edit" group) > Apply From Cost Values. The target for the selected part and all subordinate elements is set to the production costs.

    Alternative: Alternatively, you can open the dialog via the context menu in the project structure.

    • Right-click on a calculation object > Target Costs > Apply From Cost  Values.
