Unit System

Use this interface to define which units are shown for the user. Cycle times are included, and the units are defined.

"Basic Unit" group

• Tree structure

  All available units that were created in the System category > Unit System.

  The active unit is displayed in bold font.

• "User accuracy" input field

  Enter the number of digits after the decimal point for the value of the unit of measurement. This input field is only available if a unit is highlighted in the list of basic units.

"Costs" group

• "Costs repres." comboboxes

  These comboboxes enable you to select how to structure costs in the calculation overview. Costs are displayed in currency per quantity. The left combobox sets the currency, the right one the quantity unit.

• "Cost rates" combobox

  FACTON allows for time-based cost references such as machine or manufacturing costs. Use this combobox to select the time unit on which the costs are based.

"Assignment Units" group

• "Preferred system of measurement" combobox

  Selection of one unit system if there are several unit system activated in the System category > Unit System.

  Display and conversion refer to purchased parts only.

• "Manufacturing" input field

  All periods related to manufacturing are entered in time units per quantity unit.

  • Upper comboboxes

    Left combobox	Right combobox:
    Select the time unit.	Select the quantity unit.

  • Lower comboboxes

    In addition, production quantities per time unit for machine and worker time can be entered in the "Basic" calculation mode , "Advanced" calculation mode and "Cost Center" calculation mode .

• "Use additional unit as default" checkbox

  The unit selected in the bottom comboboxes is used as the standard unit.

  The additional unit is valid for all operations and is process independent.

• "Setup" combobox

  Setup costs are special costs. They are entered in time units per lot. Select the time unit in the combobox.
