Data Administration

Define system-wide settings for Data Administration properties in this interface.

  • Machine hour rate calculation
  • Define rights for calculation objects

"Behavior in Case of Inconsistencies" group

This group allows you to specify whether duplicate data records should be prevented or saved.

  • "Saving allowed and inform about inconsistencies" option

    Duplicate data records are saved. You will be notified prior to saving.

  • "Saving forbidden" option

    Duplicate data records are not saved. You get an error message that saving is not possible.

"System Performance" group

You can improve the performance of your system in this group. You specify whether it should be possible to attach images and assign rights to individual calculation elements in Data Administration.

  • Saving images

    You can decide for each category in Data Administration if an image may be saved at the calculation element type or not. In Data Administration, the "Image" column in the table display of each category is shown or hidden, and the image preview is activated or deactivated (see Image Preview window).

    • "Allow saving images for all categories" checkbox (default setting)

      Enables adding and editing of images for all (or none) of the elements.

      Deactivating the checkbox also deactivates all checkboxes below.

    • "Allow saving images for the following categories" checkbox

      Limits the availability of image administration to the selected elements.

  • Rights for Data Administration elements

    The rights administration of Data Administration elements can be extended or restricted:

    • "Define rights element-based for all categories" checkbox (default setting)

      Enables the rights assignment for all elements.

      If the checkbox is deactivated, the rights assignment is limited to the folder level of the elements. In this case, rights on individual elements will not be checked.

      WARNING

      When switching from element-based to folder-level rights, all currently defined rights of the elements in this category are reset.

    • "Define rights element-based for the following categories" checkbox

      Limits the availability of (element-based) rights administration to the selected elements.
