"Report - Properties" Dialog

In this dialog you can edit the properties of report templates for FACTON reports. Different tabs are available, depending on the different tabs.

Open "Machine - Properties" dialog

  1. In the ribbon, click on Reporting > Administer Reports .

    The "Report Administration" Dialog opens.

  2. Select the entry on the right side in the structure view.

The available report templates are displayed in a table on the left.

  3. Right-click on a report template > Properties.

  4. The dialog opens. The name of the report template is displayed directly in the dialog.

"General" tab

"General" group

  • "Use optimization" checkbox

When the checkbox is activated, printing of the report is optimized. If you experience problems during printing, deactivate this checkbox. Optimization attempts to only pass the variables actually used in the report for List & Label. However, this does not always work.

  • "Recursion depth" combobox

Define the maximum number of project structure levels that should be evaluated for a report. The number of levels up and down are evaluated based on the calculation element that the report is launched from. For complex projects you can cut the report output time by entering a lower value, thus having the program only evaluate the report for these levels.

  • "Data channel" text field

Shows the data channel used for the report.

"Description" group

Enter a description for the report. Is shown in the "Description" column in "Report Administration" Dialog.

"Exports" tab

Define the settings for Excel, e.g. whether all pages of the report should be created in a worksheet or which Excel file format should be used etc.

"Filter and Sort Settings" / "Additional Settings" tab

The availability of the tab varies depending on the selected report group and data channel.

For the "Production costs var/fix" project report, you can open the "Filter and Sort Report Content" dialog via the "Edit Filter and Sort Settings" button on the "Filter and Sort Settings" tab.

For the "Production costs var/fix" project report, you can also use the "Filter and Sort Settings" tab to define the project level depth in the report output, see example For project reports with data channel FactonNET.Reportsystem.MultiProjectFilteredStructureReport and FactonNET.Reportsystem.Jahresvorschaustrukturreport you can define the number of project levels to be displayed in the report (fixed limit, no limit, user-specific)..

In the "Additional Settings" tab you can define further settings.

Example

For a multi export with data channel FactonNET.Reportsystem.MultiReporting.MultiExportReportChannel, you can select the respective reports or specify the output format and output folder.

Example

For project reports with data channel FactonNET.Reportsystem.MultiProjectFilteredStructureReport and FactonNET.Reportsystem.Jahresvorschaustrukturreport you can define the number of project levels to be displayed in the report (fixed limit, no limit, user-specific).

A limit of "0" shows only the top project level.

For single projects the limit "1" is predefined by default.

Example

For the ABC Analysis or Mode Analysis you can set the cost elements from the costing schema that are to be used for the report.
