Edit Location

You can manually edit the location data in the project or add new locations to the project.

Add Location

You can edit the location data in the project retroactively or add new locations to the project.

  1. In the project structure, right-click on the project > Locations .

    The "Locations" Category in the Project Cockpit opens.

    Alternative: Alternatively, you can open the dialog via the Project Cockpit.

    • Click in the project information field above the project structure. The Project Cockpit opens.
  2. Select a location in the "Available Locations" group.
  3. Click Add.

    4. The location is displayed in the "Assigned Locations" table.

  4. Change project-specific parameters for the assigned and highlighted location.

    • You can change the investment and machine calculation parameters in the "Location Parameters" tab.
    • You can change the shift model parameters in the "Shift models" tab.
    • To change the worker parameters, click on the "Worker" tab.
  5. Confirm your entries with OK.

Apply Location for All Workers

You can change the locations for all project-specific workers in a project in the Project Cockpit.

  • There must be project-specific workers in the project.

  1. Click on the project information in the project. The Project Cockpit dialog opens.

  2. Switch to the Locations category.

  3. Right-click on the location you wish to apply to all project-specific workers in the "Assigned Locations" table. The context menu opens.

  4. Select one of the following options:

    1. Click on the Set location for all workers entry.

      The location changes for all project-specific workers in the project - regardless of the project location defined.

    2. Click on the Set project location for all workers entry.

      The project location changes for all project-specific workers in the project. If the project location changes, the location of the workers also changes.

      Note

      You can assign the project location for all workers from any location in the table.

  5. Click on the Set location for all workers entry.

    The location changes for all project-specific workers in the project.

Apply Location for All Machines

You can change the location of the project or the location for project-specific machines in the Project Cockpit.

Customize FACTON

Use machine locations is configured within the scope of FACTON Customizing or by an authorized partner.

  • There must be project-specific machines in the project.
  1. Click on the project information in the project. The Project Cockpit dialog opens.
  2. Switch to the Locations category.
  3. Right-click in the "Assigned Locations" table on the location you wish to apply to all project-specific machines. The context menu opens.

  4. Select one of the following options:

    1. Click on the Set location for all machines entry.

      The location changes for all project-specific machines in the project - regardless of the project location defined.

    2. Click on the Set project location for all machines entry.

      The project location changes for all project-specific machines in the project. If the project location changes, the location of the machine also changes.

      Note

      You can assign the project location for all machines from any location in the table.
