Compare Alternatives

You can identify changes and discrepancies between several alternatives by comparing them.

Requirements

The option to compare projects is only available if more than one alternative is existing in the project.

Open Alternative Comparison

  1. Select a part with alternatives in the project structure.

  2. Right-click on the part > Alternatives > Compare .

    The "Compare Alternatives" dialog opens.

    If the component has more than 2 alternatives, the "Choose Alternatives" dialog dialog opens.

  3. From the "Reference alternative" combobox, select that alternative you wish to compare with all of the other alternatives.
  4. In the "Compare with" list, select the alternative(s) you wish to compare with the reference alternative. The "Compare Alternatives" dialog opens.
  5. In the area underneath the table, select the criteria you wish to have compared.
  6. Click on Compare.
