Set processes for all variants

The Variant View allows you to set all additional costs and manufacturing processes of the reference project simultaneously for all variants shown.

  • The configuration project is opened in the variants view.
  • All variants you wish to set additional costs for are visible.
  1. In the ribbon, click on Edit (Variants).
  2. In the Reference Quantities group, click on:
    1. Set all Additional Costs
    2. Set All Manufacturing Processes

    3. All processes and costs from the reference project are set for all variants shown.

Set Processes for a Structure Level

The Variant View allows you to set all additional costs and manufacturing processes of the reference project simultaneously for all variants shown.

In the project structure of the reference project, you can use the context menu to set processes for all variants of a selected assembly and all subordinate assemblies and operations. processes for all variants of a selected assembly and all subordinate assemblies and operations.

  • The configuration project is opened in the variants view.
  • All variants you wish to set additional costs for are visible.

  1. In the project structure of the reference project, right-click on an assembly.

  2. Click on:
    1. Set additional costs
    2. Set Manufacturing Processes

    3. Based on the reference project, the additional costs for the selected assembly and all assemblies and routings below are set for all variants.

Set Processes for a Single Variant

At the variant, you can either set additional costs and manufacturing processes for a single variant or for only a selected assembly or operation and all assemblies and operations below this variant via the context menu.

  • The configuration project is opened in the variants view.
  • All variants you wish to set additional costs for are visible.
  1. Right-click at the variant (right table) in the row:
    • of an assembly,
    • of a routing or
    • of an additional cost element.
  2. Click on:
    1. Set additional costs
    2. Set Manufacturing Processes

    3. Based on the position in the variant the additional costs for the selected assembly or routing from the reference project, including all sub-elements, are set for this variant.

Set processes manually

The reference project Variants view allows you to specify the number of assemblies, manufacturing parts or purchased parts on each line and set the additional costs by activating the checkbox.

  • The configuration project is opened in the Variants view.
  • All variants you want to set additional costs and manufacturing processes for, are shown.
  • At single variants, activate the checkboxes for the processes you wish to apply.
