Calculation Modes

FACTON supports different modes for calculating the costs of elements in a project. The various calculation modes depend on respective possibilities and conditions. For example, you can calculate costs of each calculation element either rather roughly or very accurately.

FACTON automatizes and standardizes this process and offers a reiterating procedure on multiple levels:

  • With calculation methods of different precisions, the costs of individual elements can be calculated either roughly or highly accurate.
  • A top-down perspective allows the calculation to start with broad assembly structures, and then refines down to the last component.

At the cost consideration, the quantities of single parts, as well as the annual quantity are associatively relevant for the product.

A number of different methods have been developed for determining the costs ofcomponents and manufacturing processes to be investigated through the calculation process. For each method, costs can be assigned to the individual calculation elements.
