Activity type

Activity types are required for cost centers. They enable you to display an activity type of a cost center for a specified period of time. You can import activity types via Excel import.

Activity types always have one of the four types of activity type:

  • Machine hours
  • Employee activity
  • Setup activity
  • Other activity.

Other activities are used for calculating allocation of times and quantities in the manufacturing (e.g. painting with activity reference [currency per m³]).

Create activity types

  1. Right-click on the category Activity types ► New ► Activity type.

    A new semifinished part is created under the selected category/group.

  2. Change the default name in the "Name" entry field. the "Name" entry field.
  3. Enter an ID in the "Number" entry field.
  4. Select an "Activity type" from the combobox.
  5. Click Apply.

    The data are saved in Data Administration.
