Alternative Value Analysis

The value analysis feature enables you to select your own decision-making criteria (e.g. weight) for assessment in addition to standard criteria, such as costs.

Note

The criteria for the value analysis can only be created and edited in Data Administration.

  1. Select a part with alternatives in the project structure.
  2. Right-click on the part ► Alternatives ► Value Analysis. The Value analysis dialog opens.

  3. Evaluate the criteria for each alternatives by clicking the corresponding cell in the column with the name of the alternative and changing the value. The "Legend" displays possible input values for the analysis.

    Hint

    First, select the row whose value you wish to change. Then click the corresponding cell. Do not double-click!

  4. Activate the "Include additional processes" checkbox if you wish to include additional costs in the analysis.
  5. Click on Graphical Presentation. A graphical analysis is presented in the Analysis dialog.
