Analyze a bill of materials (BoM)
Every FACTON project contains a variety of calculation data. An important part of the calculation process is to analyze calculation data according to different aspects such as accuracy, completeness or value range.
Depending on the complexity of the calculated products, this amount of information tend to be rather confusing. A manual analysis of the calculation data is possible solely with high effort and a corresponding error potential.
This is why FACTON offers a variety of options to analyze the data basis. Some of these analysis options are presented in the following chapters.
For further information, see FACTON User Guide, chapters "Verify projects and master data" and "FACTON Reports".

Use the ABC analysis report to identify cost drivers in your project.
- Select the project node PC Mouse in the project structure.
- In the ribbon, click on Reporting ► Execute Report ► ABC analysis ► Table. The Output settings dialog opens.
- In the ribbon, click on Start.
Find project elements that have not been calculated yet

The Mode analysis report helps you determine the calculation accuracy of your project.
- Select the project node PC Mouse in the project structure.
- In the ribbon, click on Reporting ► Execute Report ► Mode analysis ► Table. The Output settings dialog opens.
- In the ribbon, click on Start.
The content of a report depends on which project element is selected in the project structure.
For example, if the assembly group "Lower part" is selected in the PC Mouse project and you run the ABC analysis report, only the assembly will be considered, not the entire project.
